Eyemouth and The River Tay

Just a few miles along the coast from Berwick is Eyemouth. OK to stop for a night but not our favourite place. We were woken each night either by revellers or fishing boats unloading at 0200. Ti Gitu was stuck there for three nights waiting for the wind to turn and we left on Tuesday 27th heading for the Tay.
It was a motor sail most of the way but a good day and we sailed for the last few hours finally anchoring off the Royal Tay Yacht Club at Broughty Ferry. The yacht club is incredibly hospitable to visiting yachts our only problem is that the tide runs through the anchorage at over 2 knots and we wouldn’t feel happy leaving Ti Gitu turning with the tide while we are out looking at Dundee so we will probably cross the river and moor in Tayport for a couple of nights while we do the tourist bit.
