Plymouth, Dartmouth and Torquay

We spent several days in the Lynher river which was quite boisterous at times in the strong SW winds over the incoming spring tides and eventually went for one night on the Saltash pontoon which is now charged £25.00 a night for but it was worth it for a good nights sleep and to get some shopping before spending one night in Cawsand and then making for Dartmouth.

Dartmouth was good. We went on a brand new pontoon close to the harbour steps and as it is only 0.50p per person to go ashore in the water taxi we didn’t even bother to put the dinghy in the water.

We had a good look round and went to the castle at the entrance to Dartmouth before heading to Torquay.

We went on the town pontoon again for four days and Mo washed and washed and washed everything, catching up on the last few weeks. I did lots of little maintenance jobs on Ti Gitu and then we headed off on the 50 mile trip to Portland
